Come join a small but committed team working to address the greatest threats to human health. We are looking for passionate, professional, progressive people to fill following positions:

OPERATIONS & DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR

The Development & Operations Coordinator oversees the daily functioning of WPSR’s Seattle office and provides operations and fundraising support to the Executive Director and staff. As the first point of contact for many people contacting and visiting WPSR, the person in this role sets the tone for our employees’ and visitors’ experiences with the organization. The ODC reports to the Executive Director and participates in a broad array of activities connected to the regular operations and healthy functioning of the organization. Great communication skills, a positive attitude, good attention to detail, and the flexibility to adapt to changing needs and priorities are essential for success in the role. This is a part-time, non-exempt position located in our Seattle office but with significant opportunity for remote work. Periodic early morning, evening, and weekend hours will be required, namely in association with WPSR events.

Fundraising & Communications manager

Together with WPSR’s Executive Director, the Development & Communications Manager develops WPSR’s short- and long-range fundraising objectives and works with the  Executive Director to produce and implement an annual development plan. As the leader of our development efforts, the Fundraising & Communications Manager will conceptualize, plan, and implement a structured approach to building relationships and securing philanthropic support — including setting ambitious goals, developing strategies for prospects, prioritizing activities, asking for gifts, and coordinating the involvement, as needed, of staff, board members and other volunteers.

TASK FORCE VOLUNTEERS

Washington Physicians for Social Responsibility is primarily a volunteer-based organization. Our issue-area task forces, composed of healthcare professionals and other community members, take the lead in setting WPSR's strategic priorities. They typically meet monthly and play a vital role in our program work. Read more about our task forces and key issue areas
